Prayer in Pid

I was playing Pid earlier this week and saw something that reminded me of prayer. In case you can't read it in the picture:

I have a friend on a neighboring planet that I haven't seen in years because of this traffic disruption. Sometimes I write him messages that I tie to firework-rockets. I know they won't reach him, but it's better than nothing. The mail service stopped working ages ago.

So what do you think? Is it better to tie messages to a rocket that you know won't make it to your friend? Perhaps he would be better off facing reality.
