As I read through the bible I made note of any verses that I found interesting or important. The purpose of this page is for me to be able to find half remembered verses with ctrl f, and of course they have been put into categories.

--Afterlife--

Luke 20:35 Only single people are eligible for resurrection

"but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage"

2 Corinthians 5:8 death is better than life

"Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

2 Corinthians 5:10 do what the church says, you will be judged when you die for it

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."

Philippians 1:23 Death is better than life, I wish I was dead

"I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better."

1 Timothy 2:4 God desires that all people be saved. Why doesn't he make it happen if he's all powerful?

Ephesians 4:31-32 avoid bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander. Be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving.

"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Ephesians 4:26-27 don't go to bed angry

"Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil."

Colossians 3:8-9 Anger and lying are bad

1 Thessalonians 4:15-16 Christianity started as a doomsday cult

Matthew 9:6 Blame the victim for paralysis

Mark 2:10-12 your afflictions are caused by your sins

Revelation 20:7-9 Satan allowed to trick people and get them killed by God

Ephesians 6:1-4 Encourage families to get along

Acts 9:15-17 God blinds Saul to make him follow

Ephesians 1:5,11 Who is and isn't a Christian is predestined by God (note: this is bad because of hell)

John 12:40 God removes people's free will

"He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them."

Romans 11:7-8 God messes with free will

"What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, as it is written, 'God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.'"
